WEEK 1
TANGRAMSUsing a template of different types of shapes, we were supposed to create 6 images each representing an animal, an action figure, a plant/flower, a face, a vehicle and an appliance.
This was very interesting and challenging. The shapes were not supposed to overlap, which made it more tough. But i quite enjoyed creating symbolic figures using basic shapes.
Animal - A dog
Action fig - Batman flying
Flower - some sort of a sunflower
Face - angry face
Vehicle - a huge truck
Appliance - a retro kettle

ROAD SIGNS
For this week, we had to create our own design for different types of road signs for our own world. i tried to create the symbols to what the sign was meant to be. I very rough trial, and quite enjoyed playing with different symbols.
WEEK 6
REBUS
This week we created a rebus from famous phrases as a group. A rebus is a puzzle that uses pictures to represent words, but the picture cant be the meaning of the word, it has to represent the word as a syllabic sound. Our group chose the phrase 'Time flies By'. To represent this, we used clock for time, flies for fly and by for a waving hand.
WEEK 7
PIXEL POTRAITS
This exercise was so much fun to do. I worked in illustrator rather than photoshop because i found it much easier. I made a face tone version and a pop arty version. I think it they all look good, my favorite would be the pop art one.
WEEK 8
CAUSE POSTER
I decided to use the logo we designed as a group for the distribution class, as an element or an illustration on the page. I don't think i was successful though. This poster doesn't work really well with our concept either.
